Watch 'New Girl' Star Zooey Deschanel Sing the National Anthem at the World Series

That Zooey Deschanel can sing should come as no surprise to anyone at this point. Even if you didn't hear her sing Christmas carols in "Elf," know about her band She & Him, or see her commercial for cotton (no, I don't know what she's doing on there either, or why there are commercials for cotton in the first place), you must have at least heard her sing the opening theme for "New Girl" on Fox.

But just in case you didn't know, Zooey Deschanel can sing. Quite well.

That, and the fact that "New Girl" is a huge hit for Fox and is even beating "Glee" in the ratings, is why Deschanel was invited to sing the National Anthem at the World Series game on Sunday. The ever-adorable Deschanel wore a red, white & blue dress and crooned her way through "The Star-Spangled Banner" without missing a note or forgetting a word.

It's the least that Fox could do for us, considering the World Series bumped "New Girl" back until November 1st. Up next for Deschanel musically will be her Christmas album with She & Him, which is due out this week.
